Who: If you are familiar with Cannatainment events you know we are passionate about bringing one-of-a-kind experiences to the community, especially if they are dedicated to creating and elevating the edible experience. If you are eager to participate in a culinary journey that elevates your senses, you’ve come to the right place.

What/Where: We are thrilled to announce, in partnership with Chef Derek Upton, a nighttime brunch series Night Tree, a multi-course infused culinary series hosted atop the Skydeck of the Clarendon Hotel & Spa in Downtown Phoenix. Join us on the Skydeck!

Come for the food, stay for the vibes as you get lost in the beautiful views of Phoenix’s Skyline and surrounding mountains. Mingle with cannabis lovers in one of Phoenix’s most exclusive and intimate rooftops. As the sun sets, begin the evening getting to know our partners, and taste test their arrangement of flower & extracts, followed by an intimate demonstration by Chef Derek Upton with dinner & dessert under the stars.

Night Tree wouldn’t be complete without the tunes to help you groove. Cannabis and music go together like salted butter and warm bread as cannabis acts like a psycho-acoustic enhancer, allowing listeners to absorb, and have a broader spectrum musically. Guests can expect live entertainment to take them on a musical journey not limited to the sounds of jazz, reggae, hip hop, and R&B.

About Chef Derek Upton: Redefining what it means to be a chef, artist, cannabis food pioneer and food content creator, Chef Derek Upton has paved a path of his own. worked for some of the best culinary names in phoenix and has created a name for himself. Alongside working in PHX known kitchens like EVO, Café Monarch and the James Beard Semifinalist, the Breadfruit & Rum Bar, he has cooked for David Spade, Kelis, Michael Rappaport and many others. Being featured on the city’s top morning news shows, in the top food magazines, countless food blogs and radio, he has gained national attention.

As a pioneer of the cannabis food movement Chef Derek took the opportunity to be a featured chef on the Netflix original cooking show “Cooked with Cannabis” released April 20th, 2020, and most recently Food Network. These features have led to numerous amazing friendships, business opportunities and sponsorships from Chef Works, Stargazer Cast Iron, Holoh Extracts and Hhemp. Chef Derek is a force to be reckoned with and sees no end in sight, he is always working on new ideas and always looking to the future. We are honored and thrilled to join forces with Chef Derek to offer Night Tree to the community.

Medical and adult use consumers are welcome. All guests must be 21+ with a valid I.D. Cannabis sales are prohibited at the event. All Cannabis is donated consistent with AZ law.

A successful event involves everyone doing their part to ensure we follow the recommended policies. While at the event we ask participants to:

    By registering for any activity during Night Brunch, I hereby declare:

    • Within the last 14 days, I have not tested positive for, or been exposed to, COVID-19.
    • Within the last 48 hours, I have not experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., fever of 100.4⁰ F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the CDC)
    • Within the last 14 days, I have not travelled to any state or international territory identified by federal or applicable local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19
    • I will help maintain physical distancing guidelines.

    Please note: the CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Perspective participants should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend.
